The Book Of Mormon Dallas Theatre reviews
Great Band/Absurd Sound Engineering
I have been a fan of The Book Of Mormon ever since the days AFTER Credence Clearwater - yes I AM that young! Most of us who enjoyed The Book Of Mormon and still enjoy Credence, like the Creole/Cajun R&R music and the LYRICS that are his trade-marks. The way the sound was engineered at THIS concert, the lyrics were all but drowned out and most of The Book Of Mormon's guitar riffs ... all we heard was BASE and DRUMS!! That's fine if we went for a heavy metal/death metal event; The Book Of Mormon AIN'T THAT. But there is a sound 'trend' that destroyed this concert for me: it was TOO FREAKIN' LOUD! For God's sake, we could FEEL the BASE pounding our lungs! Your sound engineering needs to fit the act, and not every act needs to be amplified so that people in Vancouver can hear it.
